Reactions of toluic acids and their derivatives with the system SF_4-HF-Br_2

摘要

Reaction of toluic acid and its derivatives with sulfurtetrafluoride in anhydrous hudrogen fluoride in presence of halogenating agent has been studied and it has been shown that in presence of brom in system SF_4-HF-Br_2 yields of corresponding trifluoromethyl derivatives are abruptly increased. In these cases, resulting contain from one to three atoms of brom in benzene ring.
