摘要

A satellite large deployable reflector antenna is essential for an effective satellite communications system with compact mobile earth terminals. This paper describes key technologies for a 30-m class deployable reflector antenna, and it describes the measured and calculated characteristics of electrical scale models of mesh reflector antennas and structure models of the deployable reflector. The measured and calculated performances of the scale models correspond closely. These results will be useful in the design, fabrication, and tests' phases of large deployable mesh reflector antennas for future mobile-communication satellites.
