ITS technologies - towards 2006

I take up post as Head of Professional Services at ITS-UK at a particularly exciting time where a number of innovative technologies that were mooted several years ago are now reaching fruition and becoming tangible and credible realities for the travelling public. Significant advances have been made to network infrastructure improvements and vehicular safety technologies; nevertheless further enhancement options still remain. ITS technologies currently contribute influentially, and will continue to do so in the future, to provide the technological platform to support the Government's target to reduce road deaths and serious injuries by 40% by 2010.
