Traffic data Day Types for the National Traffic Control Centre

This paper describes research carried out to determine the most suitable Day Types for use by the National Traffic Control Centre (NTCC) inrngenerating typical traffic data profiles to represent the normal pattern of variation by time of day for a given Day Type, using the experiencerngained over the past three years in the operation of a large scale Traffic Management and Coordination system at the NTCC for England.
