A SUMMARY OF TABLE NA 4 OF THE NEW ANNEX

A summary of performance class recommendations appears in Table NA 4 of the Annex. Essentially it divides roads into those with a speed limit of over 40mph (non-built up all-purpose roads and motorways) and built up roads and other roads with speed limits of less than 40mph. It provides performance class recommendations for three types of support structures: lighting columns; sign and signal supports - this can include items such as variable message signs and speed camera supports; and non harmful support structures.
