Although the UK can point to multimodal payment system successes, London's Oyster Card being perhaps the most visible, there remain significant issues when it comes to stitching the various means of travel together in ways which reflect an injection of smart into the process. A first step might be to achieve greater transparency in timetables such that app developers and users can make truly informed choices. There are other issue besides, however.
