Getting to MaaS

Everyone seems to love Google. The user interface of its search engine is sleek and dead simple to use. It's basically composed of a beautiful, clean logo, and a big, neat search box. A closer look into Google's main page will reveal some links at the footer (leading to privacy - will come back later to this topic -terms of use, settings and other boring stuff), and direct links to services like Gmail and Youtube at the top right corner. Altogether, an extremely well-designed and intuitive front-end where you know exactly what to do (enter a search term) and what to expect (tons of useful results for your query). All the magic happens in the back-end. It's that easy (oh yes, there is a huge amount of talent and super-complex code behind Google's search algorithms, but that's another story). And, last but not least: it's free!
