The venerable RTIC IRoad Traffic Information and Control) conference returned in May, co-organised by us at ITS United Kingdom and by the IET. RTIC has a history going back to the 1980s and was originally focused on the then Highways Agency showcasing its latest innovations in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) with at first just a little help from consultants and suppliers. It was a three day conference with a highly qualified programme committee managing and peer reviewing the full papers which contributors had to submit.
