Making work zones safer

Traditionally, temporary traffic management deployments have been phoned in to network and regional control centres, which can be time consuming and potentially risky for traffic management operatives. However a new initiative called Smart Taper links itself to a geographical location and the corresponding Schedule of Road Works [SRW] number, making it possible to automate manual processes, and crucially, provide more accurate and timely road works information to road users.
