Record for UG Rail's Tseung Kwan O maintenance depot in Hong Kong

United Group Rail which maintains the Tseung Kwan O (TKD) depot on behalf of the MTR Corporation Limited in Hong Kong has achieveTt a record infinity year-to-month 'Preliminary Passenger Affected Ratio' or PAR with 105 days without any five minute delays to rail operations. This performance measurement is used by MTR to communicate its ability to deliver an efficient on-time service. The Tseung Kwan O Depot services one of the seven lines of the MTR system in Hong Kong and runs from Hong Kong Island to the new town of Tseung Kwan O. In the morning rush hour, the Tseung Kwan O Line needs 15 trains in service to keep 2.7 minute intervals. According to United Group Rail Chief Executive, Andy Summers: "What this record means is that all TKD metro services have operated with delays of less than five minutes for a consecutive period of over 105 days. While this is impressive, what is equally important is that we have managed to produce a reduction in two-minute delays, together with an accompanying reduction in 'overruns' and auto turnaround faults.
