The China Metro Rail Summit 2009 will be held from 22 to 24 June in Shanghai and will bring together some of China's top officials in the sector.rnThe summit is co-organised by China's Rail Transit Magazine and the Urban Rail Transit Technology Promotion Committee of the China Civil Engineering Society, which is directly administered by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. From 2005 to 2010, in the urban rail sector, the Chinese Government will invest approximately 600 billion RMB ($A130.S billion), taking the total length of operational urban rail track to more than 1500 kilometres.
