When you've got too much of something, it stands to reason that you would want to offload the excess and make a bit of money into the bargain. Telecoms operators are no different, of course, and with margins on core services being squeezed in all directions, they have long sought ways to commercialise their extra capacity. The trouble is, it's becoming more difficult to see where everyone fits into the value chain.
