The International Law Section of the Florida Bar recently held a conference entitled "Doing Business in Cuba: What You Need to Know." Most attendees and speakers, including myself, did not expect the Obama Administration to make any significant announcements or policy changes in the 50-year-old US embargo of Cuba. That drastically changed on December 17 when President Obama issued a Facts Sheet from The White House, and went on national television to announce what the majority of Americans thought was a long overdue change in international relations between the United States and Cuba.
