He made more than ioo films and his share of tabloid headlines, but nothing in David Carradine's life was as sensational as the way he ended it. The 72-year-old actor's naked body was found June 4 in a Bangkok hotel room. Thai police said his death was caused by autoerotic asphyxiation. Yet if people concentraternon Carradine's work and not on his autopsy report, they'll find a lot to admire. He became a star in the '70s TV series Kung Fu, in which he played Caine, the philosophizing martial artist (a role originally planned for Bruce Lee). But he distinguished himself in film and theater as well.
