From the example of a typical solar water-heating installation (SWHI) intended for a daily consumption of 1001 of heated water, we calculated the number of days in the year during which such an installation will heat water to no lower than the given control level of temperatures (37, 45, and 55℃) for different ratios of the area of the solar collector to the volume of the storage tank. On the basis of processing the results of a dynamic simulation of the SWHI using typical meteorological years generated for the climatic conditions of more than 40 settlements in Russia, which are located in the European, as well as in the Asian parts of the country, generalized relationships were obtained. With their aid, we can determine the efficiency of using SWHIs in different regions of the country for known sums of solar radiation entering a horizontal surface.
