Axe could be completed by Armistice Day

The new Israel Newton & Sons boiler for the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway's Kerr Stuart 'Joffre' class 0-6-0 (2451/15) Axe should be moved to the Gartell Light Railway at Templecombe imminently. The Gartell LR has completed the rolling chassis and will fit the boiler. Remaining work on Axe comprises construction of the cab and tanks plus completion of pipe work.
