Finalisation of the freehold purchase of the South Devon Railway from the Paignton S Dartmouth Steam Railway appears to be imminent.rnAlthough the deal was done early this decade, it was on the basis of a 199-year lease with the freehold to be conveyed when a new Transport & WorksrnOrder had been obtained and a Transfer Order made for it to replace the existing Light Railway Order.rnWhen these steps have been finalised, the freehold will change hands, with the SDR paying &1 to DVLR plc.
