The South Devon Railway's aim to secure a visiting loco for its August 29-31 'Rails and Ales' event (RM Sep) came off - in the form of Severn Valley-based Small Prairie No. 4566.rnThe loco was booked for attention at Buckfastleigh Works and ran during the gala.rnNo. 4566 was originally projected for an SDR appearance during the line's April gala celebrating the 40th anniversary of the return of passenger services to the Buckfastleigh-Totnes line, but was replaced by GWR 0-6-2T No. 6695 when that event alsornbecame a celebration of the SDR's increased axle weight limit (now 23.5 tons).
