A section of the Glasgow Subway was closed for five days in June for emergency repairs to the tunnel lining. Both lines were closed between Cowcaddens and Buchanan Street stations on June 3, when planned repair work uncovered a larger problem. During the closure, shuttle trains ran between Buchanan Street and Govan, and Govan and St George's Cross, with buses filling the gap. The inner (anticlockwise) circle reopened on June 6 followed by the outer (clockwise) circle on June 8.
