Virgin steps up Scotland-West Mid ands services

Virgin Trains is to increase the number of trains between the West Midlands and Scotland when the December timetable change comes into force. The company hopes the move will bring a new level of competition to airlines operating over the same route, which links the UK's second and fourth most populated cities, Birmingham and Glasgow. By reconfigurating services, Virgin will provide a direct service from Birmingham International to Scotland for the first time in six years.
