Another GBRf Class 66 imported

Gb railfreight has secured a further Class 66 from Europe. On June 11, what will become No. 66750 arrived from Swedish operator Rush Rail via the Channel Tunnel. The loco was moved from Dollands Moor to EMD Longport, where it will be converted for use in the UK. Built in 2003, it has an international pedigree, having worked in Holland, Belgium, Germany and Poland where it worked for Freightliner, and comes from Beacon Rail leasing. A second Beacon loco (yet to be identified) will become No. 66751 and is due to arrive later in the year. It takes GBRf's loco acquisitions to five in 2013, with the ex-Crossrail Benelux locos that arrived earlier.
