New railway manager at SDR

Chris Williams has been appointed railway manager at the South Devon Railway. He took up the position on June 2, having been material supply manager for Lloyds Banking Group. As a volunteer, he is currently chief locomotive inspector for the Great Central Railway, where he is a steam and diesel driver. Under the South Devon's restructured organisation, he, along with Rob LeChevalier (engineering) and Graham Coates (retail and catering) will report to the board via the South Devon Railway Trust chairman on joint operational matters, and their respective boards on individual company strategies.
