Bluebell EMU to go under cover

The Bluebell Railway's 4-VEP unit No. 3417 Gordon Pettitt has been stored in the open at Clapham yard for some time because of work being undertaken on the shed there. The EMU, in the care of the Southern Electric Traction Group, has been receiving attention, but because of its location has only been accessible to people with DC line personal track safety qualifications. It is to be moved back under cover soon, and work will continue to prepare it fora return to main line operation, including refitting of third-rail pick-ups.
