THE Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway has suffered two further slippage incidents on its embankments and cuttings as a result of the heavy rainfall during February. The first of these, on the embankment south of Gotherington station, originally manifested itself before Christmas when a precautionary 5mph speed restriction was put in place for the rest of the running season. However, the slip has subsequently worsened, exacerbated by a particularly wet winter.
