US Navy maintains course for biofuels despite political opposition

Biofuels is a key focus are for the US Navy, but its efforts in that area almost fell foul of opposition from Republican politicians earlier in 2012. Thanks to a recent vote in the Senate, however, the biofuels programme remains intact and an agreement was signed recently with Biodico for the development and evaluation of advanced biofuels and bioenergy.
