Solasafe for SPT's new Aframax tankers

Solar Solve Marine based in South Shields, UK, recently supplied its Solasafe anti-glare roller screens to four new Aframax tankers owned by Skaugen PetroTrans Ltd., for installation at the wheelhouse windows as a navigation safety aid.rnSPT Champion, STP Crusader, STP Conqueror and STP Challenger have all been delivered during 2007 and are purpose-designed and dedicated lightering tankers. Built at the Tsuneishi Shipyard in Japan the vessels are all 105,000 DWT capacity, 123 metres long with a 42 metre beam and incorporate enhanced manoeuvring features with increased loading and de-ballasting capabilities.
