IALD Awards 2009: Speirs & Major Take Second Consecutive Radiance Award

LJ reports on the 26th annual lighting design awards organised by the International Association of Lighting Designers, at which the UK's very own Speirs & Major took top prize for the second year running.rnIt was another year of triumph for the UK's leading lighting design consultancy, Speirs & Major Associates, at the IALD Awards 2009. The results, announced in early May in New York, saw awards go to 19 lighting projects in eleven differentrncountries - of these, three entries earned Special Citations, 13 earned Awards of Merit and three earned Awards of Excellence. There was a record entry list this year, with 259 submissions, which surpassed last year's entry total by 60%.
