Yes, we are well into the 'silly season' now, as these two photos of crazy lighting columns demonstrate. The first is a guerrilla promotional stunt by Belgian paint manufacturer Levis to celebrate five years of a famous Belgian paint brand. An extra-large Levis paint pot was mounted on an existing lighting column eight metres above the ground, so it appears to be floating. The post itself was painted red, creating a stream of paint that looks like it is colouring the car park. The stunt was dreamed up and put into practice by the Belgian communication firm, King George.
