Abercrombie & Fitch, the successful American fashion retailer, opened its 820m~2 Tokyo store in December, 2009, in the Ginza shopping district. The 56m tower is the tallest structure in Ginza and its unique design, featuring louvre frames filling both sides of the building, presented a real problem in terms of lighting the facade. The solution was to use Martin Cyclo 02 colour temperature changers equipped with dual control ballasts and two T5 28W 2700K fluorescent tubes. In total, 130 indoor Cyclo 02 and 44 outdoor Cyclo 02 IP65 luminaires are mounted at the bottom of each louvre on the building's facade, as well as another eight Cyclo 02s placed in the first floor shop window area.
