VOLCANIC ACTIVITY

The CIE 2017 'Midterm Meeting' was held in the dramatic setting of the volcanic island of Jeju, off the coast of South Korea. The venue, the Ra-mada Plaza Jeju Hotel, was in striking distance of some of the island's stunning natural landmarks, including 'Dragon Head' rock, where historic lava flows meeting the sea have resulted in the creation of stunning rock formations.
