MILL LANE, CARDIFF - a case study

Mill Lane is an integral part of Cardiff's City Centre and played a key role in the economy of the town as it followed the line of the Glamorgan Canal. The architecture of the area is typically a mixture of Victorian and Edwardian and the Wyndham Arcade provides one of the area's main landmarks. It was recognised that an improvement to the general environment would increase the use of the area by potential customers, which in turn would lead to an increase in sales. Giving Mill Lane a distinct character would also create another focal point in the City Centre.
