Back in the 80's in Wolverhampton, our shop front improvement scheme left something to be desired and police-public relations in the town were not at their best. At about this time, crime in central Wolverhampton was high and a leading political figure described the town centre as a 'desert at night'. It was suggested that anyone leaving the town after 6.30pm should turn out the lights.
