MRI scans get 3D treatment

Medical students at Aberdeen University are piloting a 3D visualisation system that transforms medical images such as MRI or CAT scans into 3D images.rnDeveloped by staff from the university's Medi-CAL Unit in partnership with the Digital Learning Foundation, the system will allow medical students to actively explore how organs fit together.rnLecturers will also be able to highlight areas of interest with colour and 3D labels.
