摘要

A meeting at a trade show provided the trigger for sensor supplier Pepperl and Fuchs to work with Kollmorgen Automation on a navigation system for guided vehicles. "As an expert in vehicle control, we always want to provide the latest vehicle types with state-of-the-art navigation," said Markus Johansson, general manager at Kollmorgen. Pepperl and Fuchs launched the R2000 2D laser scanner at the Scanautomatic exhibition in Sweden in 201 2, and Johansson was keen to see what the scanner could do. "At that time, we were looking for a partner who was an innovator in the field of sensor technology, and the benefits of the R2000 sounded promising to us, so we were very curious to find out what we could achieve together," he said.
