Toyota, Johnson & Johnson and Honda have come top in this year's global ranking of the best green brands by consultancies Interbrand and Deloitte.1 By contrast, positive perceptions of McDonald's, Ikea and Microsoft may not be justified by their actual performance. The annual ranking is based on Inter-brand's research on the perceptions of 10,000 people in the world's ten largest economies. It also includes Deloitte's assessment of each brand's performance against 82 environmental, social and governance metrics using data in corporate sustainability reports and other sources.
