ENVIRONMENT BILL

❶The Environment Bill will comprise five policy 'chapters' The first part of the draft bill covered governance and the environmental principles. Four further chapters will cover nature, water, air quality and waste and resources. ❷It will put the 25-Year Environment Plan on a statutory footing DEFRA's environment plan will be written into law alongside binding targets. The bill will include provisions for net gain, habitat planning, forestry enforcement, urban trees and conservation covenants.
