New Sadler's Wells theatre

The architect behind the Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatre refurbs, is advising Sadler's Wells on plans for a new 500-seat venue. London's world-famous Sadler's Wells dance centre announced plans to create a new theatre in the capital last week. While no architect has been appointed to the high-profile job, it has been confirmed Rab Bennetts of Bennetts Associates is chairing a buildings committee advising on the project. Designed to host mid-scale contemporary work, the new theatre could open as early as 2018.
