Forbo Flooring Systems is a manufacturer of many different products, including linoleum, flocked flooring and carpet tiles, with five factories based here in the UK. Its competence centre for vinyl is based in the north of The Netherlands in Coevorden. Started in 1978 as the first factory to produce 4m-wide so-called cushioned vinyl for use at home, it nowadays designs and manufactures many different product categories. Next to the Novilon domestic products, it also produces project vinyl for general use under the brand Eternal, safety vinyl under the brand Step and, since 2009, luxury vinyl tiles under the brand Allura.
