At its own cost, Fosters + Partners is taking on post-occupancy research at Langley Academy to advise its clients and inform the practice's later designs, Hattie Hartman reports

As part of its in-house research, Foster + Partners' specialist modelling group conducted three months of post-occupancy studies at Langley Academy in 2013. This work builds upon similar research undertaken previously by the practice at Masdar. 'We decided that we wanted to look at different typologies, different climatic conditions and develop this process more fully. Langley happened to be number two on the list,' says Irene Gallou who heads the 20-strong group.
