Perinsul~® is a load-bearing block used in the base of wall courses to prevent thermal bridging. Made from recycled glass, it is easily cut, acid-resistant, non-combustible and gives off no toxic fumes or smoke. The HCFC, HFA and pentane-free block does not deteriorate and has ETA approval. A number of products from the Kingspan Insulation Kooltherm and Therma ranges were used in the resurrection of a dilapidated old church in Scotland's Western Isles, featured on Channel 4's The Restoration Man. The church was originally built by Sir Thomas Telford in 1827-9. Kingspan Tarec~® Kooltherm~® FM Pipe Insulation was installed as part one of the UK's most sustainable retail spaces, Marks & Spencer Cheshire Oaks. The 209,068ft~2 store features a range of energy saving measures including hemp and lime wall panels and an 80,000 litre rain water harvesting tank.
