The new headquarters for the Institution of Structural Engineers showcases the application of sustainability in retrofit and reflects the philosophy and values that have underpinned the organisation since its foundation as the Concrete Institute in 1908. The project brings the inconspicuous four-storey 1960s office building into the 21st century, incorporating a public conference centre, library, members' areas and new videoconferencing and webinar facilities.
