BELGRADE THEATRE BY STANTON WILLIAMS

Completed in 2006, this extension and refurbishment of a Grade Ⅱ-listed community theatre in Coventry by Stanton Williams provided a new 300-seat theatre, a rehearsal room, backstage facilities and an entrance foyer. Conceived as a sculptural seven-storey structure, the new building was designed to act as a catalyst for the city's regeneration. It features a polycarbonate-clad wall which conceals the building's plant and services while lighting up at night to act as a beacon for the theatre.
