Cambridge's brave new world

The University of Cambridge is undergoing one of the most significant expansions in its 800-year history. At the North West Cambridge Development, which will be known as Eddington, the vision is to create a new urban district and extension to the city centred on a mixed academic and urban community. It will be a place that is sustainable and long-lasting, with ambitions to enhance both the city and the university. Phase 1 of the development is well under way and a mixed-use local centre has opened, providing a focal point for the emerging community.
