SKILL DEVELOPMENT AMONG RURAL WOMAN FOR ESTABLISHING MICRO ENTERPRISE THROUGH DEVELOPMENT OF PRODUCTS USING CHINDI DURRIE WEAVING TECHNIQUE

摘要

The opportunities have been open for rural women in the field of "Durrie weaving". The Handloom textile constitutes a timeless facet of the rich cultural heritage of India. It is an economic activity, which provides livelihood to the people. However, hereditary weaving-skills live on in many families in Rajasthan. The handloom durrie was considered a cheap substitute to cover the floor. So in the present study rural women were exposed to various micro-enterprises based on Chindi durrie weaving. In the present research paper document to study the existing knowledge and indentify the training needs of rural women in the area of Durrie weaving and micro-enterprises based on Chindi Durrie weaving.
