Eurotex Industries Incurs Net Loss On Lower Turnover In 2007-08

During the year the turnover of the company was Rs 138.38 crores as compared to Rs 165.20 Crores in the previous year. The company has suffered a net loss after tax of Rs 3.43 crores as against a net profit of Rs 1.21 crores after tax in the previous year. The reason for decline in profitability is the steep rise in Cotton prices, high power cost and sharp appreciation of the rupee during the year. Due to inadequacy of profits this year, Directors have decided not to recommend any dividend for the Financial year 2007-08.
