Wool producers Rick and Bim Goodrich have accomplished, they say, the impossible by producing an 11.9 micron bale of wool, a world record-breaking achievement. This bale of Australian merino wool was certified on March 3 by the Australian Wool Testing Authority as the finest and softest wool in the world. This is the first bale ever to break the 12 micron barrier using an IWTO accredited testing method.
