Held at CNIT, La Defense, Paris, on February 24-27, Texworld once again proved itself a major force on the international trade fair calendar for non-European sources. Final figures showed 16,173 visitors, 30% more in February 2003 and 1% over the September 2003 event. The largest number of visitors came from Italy and France, followed by Germany, Spain, Turkey and the US. Other countries represented included China, Japan, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. The event gathered 629 exhibitors from 42 countries, with 75 manufacturers new to the show. According to the organisers, Messe Frankfurt, Texworld's success can also be measured by its long waiting list of exhibitors.
