Address from the President of the International Institute of Space Law to the readers of the Electrosvyaz Magazine

The International Institute of Space Law (IISL) is very pleased for the opportunity to address the readers of the Electrosvyaz Magazine. It welcomes that the magazine has prepared this special release on space law - the subject, which is of great relevance to telecommunications and media. Space law is a rather young branch of international law. Compared with telecommunications law and regulation, which dates back into the 19th century, space law is only now celebrating the 50th anniversary of its basic legal document, the Outer Space Treaty of 1967.
