Johns Hopkins turns several events into virtual successes

In the face of the pandemic, Johns Hopkins University has successfully moved a number of programs online, including its FastForward U pitch competitions, its AccelHERator women's series, and work with the Chesapeake Digital Health Exchange. "One day we were on campus, the next we weren't," recalls Kerrie Carden, director of student ventures, who notes that previously all work for the FastForward accelerator had been in person. The shift was undertaken by a combination of the FastForward team, connections with other entrepreneurship centers, "and picking everyone's brains," she says.
