VoIP (Voice over Internet protocol), also known as Internet telephony is slowly but steadily creeping in. With ever decreasing call rates and a few key players stepping in, it is definitely a win-win situation for consumers. I remember when call rates to USA, UK or Canada were Rs 40 per minute from a landline just a few years back. Then came the computer-to-computer calling revolution, kicked off by Skype and Google Talk.
